Having a play date with India at school
On the bus to school:-)
Donna and the kids came over after school on Monday.
Lunch with the Tupp's family on Wednesday!
A hike on HK island on Thursday!
We hiked from the Cricket Club to HKIS. It is a hike Kylie will be taking the grade 3 students at the end of the month and we went to make sure it was grade 3 appropriate.
Such beautiful scenery!!
There were many bridges on the hike...I think Rachel counted 6 or so.
We did it and it only took 1 hour:-)
Having breakfast in Stanley before heading home from the hike.
The breakfast was really good and the restaurant had a play area...win win for all!
Rachel wanted me to put on these sunglasses:-)
On the way home our bus stopped in the middle of our route due to protests. We checked before we left but apparently that changed. Not much was happening on the streets at lunch so we decided it was safe to check out. It was really eerie to see the streets empty!!!
Streets blocked near Pacific Place.
Kylie and I were very glad that we had the chance to walk through the protest areas. It put everything in perspective and helped us to see how big the protests really are.
A major road on HK island blocked off due to protests.
We stopped to see some umbrellas that were protecting the protestors from tear gas. Rachel was interested in this.
Swimming at the Golf and Country Club in Fo Tan for the CAIS staff social!
Rachel jumping off the diving board!!
Having supper....it was good!
Mr. Leung found some insects at the club and the girls were interested in checking them out!!
Rachel and I went to Sai Kung on Saturday. We stopped at a restaurant for supper before heading home:-)
This has been a great week!! Too bad all weeks couldn't be like this:-) Having said that....I am looking forward to a full week with students.
Love,
Kylie, Jocelyn and Rachel
Please keep Hong Kong in your prayers!!
Then he called the crowd to him along with his disciples and said: "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me and for the gospel will save it."
