Krispy Kreme....so good:-)
We had to upgrade our ticket on this propeller plane. We thought it was hillarious as all the seats looked the same:-)
The island of Boracay. You can see our resort beach on the front left of the island.
Waiting in the Shangri La lounge for the speed boat to take us to our resort.
Our resort!
The beach was beautiful and hardly ever had people on it!!
We had a jacuzzi in our room.
Dinner in our room on the first night.
In the kids playroom at the hotel
Kids club slides:-)
The kids club gave Rachel a Ukelele as a souvenier!
Walking around Boracay
We rode one of these on our way back to our resort. It was interesting:-)
Such a beautiful sunset!
The resort had great snorkeling right off the beach. Kylie, Rachel and I went out every morning. We saw clown fish, angel fish, sea urchins, sea cucumbers, starfish and so much more. It really was beautiful and so nice that we could stand on the bottom of the ocean and see such amazing fish!!
The water was so clear that you could see the bottom like you were looking through glass!!
The resort infinity pool
Having a nap before heading back to Hong Kong
Making cabbage rolls
and pierogies for our Settlers night:-)
I was really proud of the way the pierogies and cabbage rolls turned out. We even had fudge for dessert:-)
Dave and Mark came over for a true Canadian dinner and some gaming fun!
It was a pretty intense game:-)
Disneyland on Saturday
The Paint the Night parade at Disney. It is actually pretty good and worth staying up to watch!!
It has been years since Disney had a different parade. So glad to have something new!
We had such a great October holiday!! Kylie wanted to surprise me on a trip....very sweet!! He didn't want to tell me where we were going until we made it to the airport. He did a really good job keeping the secret. However, Rachel ended up getting quite sick the day before the trip. She threw up all day!! She didn't have a fever but she couldn't keep any food or water down. We went to the airport the next day and thought we could make it but Rachel threw up 3 times in the airport. We were minutes from boarding when we finally decided that it would be stupid to take Rachel on a holiday, Kylie and I were devastated! As soon as we got home, Rachel started eating and we thought that maybe she was on the mend. I took Rachel to the doctor, got some meds and a doctors note letting the airline know she was ok to travel and lots of money later....we were on the next flight to Boracay. Rachel wasn't feeling awesome but she had a good time and told us many times while we were there that we should get jobs as taxi drivers so that we could stay there:-)
Dave and Mark came over on Friday night for dinner and Settlers and Rachel and I went to Disney today. It is hard to believe that our week is almost over. We love holidays!!
Thanks for all of your prayers while Rachel was sick!!
Love,
Kylie, Jocelyn and Rachel
I write to you, dear children, because your sins have been forgiven on account of his name.
